Diving

 

In the long weekend I went diving with my Papa and my uncle Brad at Lottin point I saw two stingrays and I was a bit scared.Papa saw a few good size pawa.My papa got a lot of kina.I love eating kina and paua because it is so yum to eat.

 In the long weekend I went up the coast to the farm and I was riding my horse in the paddock with my little brother It was really fun but I was getting sore legs and my brother was getting annoyed at my horse Red.

Room 2 went to the art room and we were making bird art.

First we had to draw a bird then make a background 

I didn't like drawing the bird because it was ugly.

I liked drawing the tree on the background because it was easy.

MULLET

 On sunday I got a mullet.

It looks very cool I recon.My dad also got a mullet his is very cool

Dinner

 

Last night I made dinner for my whanau we had snitsel.It was very yum I liked the chips with the gravy.

I did not eat much because I had heart burn.

Ice cream

 

My mum and I made cookies and cream ice cream.

Ingredients: Chocolate cookies,cream,vanilla essence and condensed milk

Then we froze the ice cream and then ate it. 

Fire pit.

 

On wednesday me and my dad and my brother made a pork and venison stew.It was yum and after that we had marshmallows on the fire they were delicious.

Me and my mum made sushi with teriyaki chicken avocado and carrots.

It was so nice.

  

Fitness break in lockdown

 My brother and I were having a fitness break.

We were playing basketball.

It was really fun.

I cant wait to get back to school and play basketball with my friends.

We were doing pop art with Mrs G in the art room.

I liked that we did not have to use pastel.

I enjoyed doing art in the art room.

I didn't like that we had to come back every five seconds.

We were learning to paint a picture for our reading by the words we choose.

I found it easy to type fast so I got it done.

I found it hard to concentrate with loud noises from the builders.

I really enjoyed that we only had to do a little bit of writing.

We were learning about science we had to make a light turn on.

I found it easy to work with my friend Xavier

I found it challenging find out how to make a light.

Next time i'm not going to hold the light because it hurt my finger.

Road safety

We were learning about Road Safety for Road Safety Awareness week.  We had to use the i-movie app on the ipad to make a Road Safety advertisement.

Our learning assets were Mahi Tahi and Kaikorero because we had to work together in our group and we had to share our ideas in a range of ways.

I found it easy to avoid being in the video clips.

I found it hard to stay on task and not get distracted by by bike.

Waka hoa

I was learning about waka hoa for our reading.  We have been learning about life before the Treaty of Waitangi.  We were learning to use Moot to record our thinking as well.

I found it easy to write my thinking.

I found it hard to record my voice because I didn't like the sound of my voice.

I really enjoyed learning about waka paddles.

What is respect at Mangapapa?

We were learning about what respect looks like on the behaviour matrix so that we know what behaviours we need to show at school. Our photos had to be about what Respect looks like in the hall.

I found it easy to take photos without me in it.

I found it hard to keep Xavier still while I was trying to take the photo.

I really enjoyed getting out of class for a bit.

Next time I need to be more patient with Xavier.

Interschool Triathlon

 Yesterday I was in the Interschool Triathlon team.

I found it easy to pace myself in the run.

I found it hard to not react to the people that were being annoying in the run.

I really enjoyed winning with my friends.

I was in a team with Connor and Maihi. I did the run, Connor did the bike and Maihi did the swim.

We won the the inter school triathlon race for the Year Six boys teams.

We are the inter school triathlon champions!

I found it easy to do speech bubbles.

I found it hard to find good characters.

I really enjoyed having a play around until I got I right.

Next time I need to find some thing for the third box

Te whare tapa wha

 We were learning about what Te whare tapa wha is. It is all about hauora which is health. We had to make a connection map to show what is important to us.

I found it easy to find the images that I needed on google.

I found it hard to get the right font I wanted.

I really enjoyed looking at cool pictures.

Next time I need to change the background color.
